Use caution, as the video you are about to watch might irremediably transform you into a fan of the AMG M156 engine – in case you weren't one already – and this affliction is pretty much without a cure.
We caught it back in 2006, when we first learned about the only AMG powerplant that doesn't share a single part with a Mercedes-Benz engine, since it was designed entirely in-house by a team of engineers which the myth says comprised a man who was also responsible for the V10 from the Porsche Carrera GT.

The symptoms consist of an overwhelming and constant desire to search YouTube for videos depicting the fabulous and almost unearthly exhaust sound of the M156 and its M159 cousin, with the C 63 AMG being its most appropriate evangelist.

The following video illustrates a Vaeth-tuned Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG whose exhaust cannot be heard, but more like felt in your chest if you have a decent set of speakers.

Sporting the V63RS tuning kit, the roaring naturally-aspirated engine under the hood develops no less than 580 hp and a healthy 700 Nm (516 lb ft) of torque, but the real hero of the video bellow is most likely its ear-drum-shattering exhaust. Enjoy!
