This BMW Z4 Nurburgring Crash Was a Rookie Fail You Can Easily Avoid

The latest example of this comes from the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, which shows us what happen when a BMW Z4 becomes the victim of a Nurburgring rookie mistake.

As we've shown you over the weekend, the Brunnchen corner can't exactly be called the meanest one on the Ring and yet the twist constantly catches driver such as the one behind the wheel of this Z4 out.

Yes, this bend will try to push your car off the track regardless of whether your drive a RWD, a FWD or an AWD machine. Then again, when it comes with one of the few gravel traps on the track, that should be enough of a warning.

The clip shows the Z4 driver overtaking another BMW while preparing to enter this turn, with the velocity proving that the man was clueless about what was expecting him.

And if we pay attention to the driver's reaction as the sportscar is being thrown onto the exterior of the twist, we'll notice no exagerated maneuvers, which probably means this guy is not a driving rookie, but a Nurburgring rookie.

Unfortunately, the BMW Z4 ends up slamming against the protection element on the side of the track, leaving a dense dusty trail behind. And while this masks the damage, it's clear that we're dealing with a Ring episode the driver of the machine won't forget too easily.

A bit of online homework being done before hitting the Nordschleife, or at least some moderate-pace laps that would allow obvious corners such as this one to be remembered wouldn't have done any harm.
