This Black and Yellow Supra Will Trample on Bumblebee

This black/yellow Toyota Supra here wont turn into a robot at the flick of a switch, nor calling Optimus Prime at the first sign of danger, but it’s definitely a better version of Bumblebee.

Yeah, for some the ability to morph into an autobot with high-caliber guns mounted on its arms might seem interesting enough, but on the streets in real life, the ability to launch off the line with the front wheels not quite touching the ground is way cooler.

And from this perspective, Darren’s Supra here has what it takes to leave Bumblebee in a cloud of smoke, to beep its way out like R2-D2. That vented black hood shelters a forged 3-liter 2JZ six-cylinder engine boosted by a Garret GT4718R turbocharger running at 36 psi while the electronic part is handled by a MoTeC M800 EFI.

Oh, forgot to mention the nitrous system that adds a 100 shot in second, third and fourth gear which are handled by a classic six-speed manual box.

Watch it going down the track at Heathcote Park in Australia at a Test and Tune meeting that took place this month. And being there for 'testing' means this beast may be capable to cross the line in less than 9 seconds at some point in the near future. Give it some volume and play.
