This may not be the real deal, but it sure looks like a hell of a ride. It was built on top of a go-kart and designed by artists who managed to turn a two-seater plaything into the Caped Crusader’s hero car.
Great things happen to great gamers who spend countless hours in front of the comp - that seems to be the message here. Scaled to about half the size of the real deal, this Batmobile is the prize Arkham Knight fan Francis won recently at a Super Gamer Builds contest. It’s one of the shows running on Break’s AWE me YouTube account. It sees a bunch of artists and builders turning the virtual world into palpable things.

In the game, the car is more like a tank on wheels, as each Batmobile model is armored, highly maneuverable, and possesses numerous non-lethal deterrents that were used in Batman’s war on crime. However, the story is not about guns, big machinery on tracks and spy gadgets. In fact, whatever model you take as an example, none of them is anything like this funny thing.

Heck, we’re looking at go-kart that could at best pass as a dune buggy, but nothing more than that. We do have to grant the builder’s artistic talent that clearly makes a whole of a difference. They initially used foam to shape the vehicle, and later built a mold in which they would then create the fiberglass shell. It may not be carbon fiber, but it should last for a couple of joyrides in a mall’s empty parking lot.

In other Batmobile-related news, we want to mention that we liked the one created by West Coast Customs more. Sure, that one was winning the beauty contest, but as opposed to its little brother here, it was made of high-density urethane which means you probably don’t want to hit the road with it.
