This Austrian Is so Strong He Can Pull a 142-ton Boeing 777

What, you thought you need a truck to pull a Boeing? Well, think again, because this 44-year old strongman from Austria just broke all the odds pulling an 142 tons airplane by only using his strength. And that is not even the heaviest thing he ever pulled, having previously turned a 244-ton Ferris wheel.

The action was established on Monday by the Austrian athlete Franz Muellner. The 44-year old strongman moved the Boeing 777 for 46.5 feet (14.5 meters) by pulling it with a rope. The Austrian Rock managed to pull the airplane out of the hangar, under the eyes of the fans watching with amazement.

Even though he didn’t manage to move the huge aircraft at first, the second time was a winner: “That was the hardest thing I've done in my life.” This Austrian might be a strong sportsman, but know this, there are men out there stronger than him. In fact, according to Guinness World Records, Canadian Kevin Fast pulled a CC-177 Globemaster III that weights 416,299 lb (188.83 tones), a distance of 8.8 m (28 ft 10.46 in) at Canadian Forces Base in Trenton, Ontario, Canada, on 17 September 2009.

As to the Boeing 777, you probably already know that is the world’s largest twinjet and has a typical seating capacity for 314 to 451 passengers, with a range of 5,235 to 9,389 nautical miles (9,695 to 17,372 km). Well, you probably know that already.
