It’s kinda funny to compare a MINI Cooper S with a mythological creature but in this case it makes a whole lot of sense. There are a couple of reasons behind our claim so let’s write them down to avoid any confusion.
Cerberus is a unique monster from Greek mythology that guarded the doors into hell (or, at least their equivalent of hell). He had two heads and was extremely loud and mean-looking. Getting past him would require more than courage.
This MINI also has two heads that bark loud. However, they’re located at the back of the car and are actually exhaust pipes. Coming from exhaust specialist Armytrix, you know they are loud already. However, unlike other products from them, they’re not too loud, going in the wrong direction.
If you ask me, that’s just the right amount of madness right there. On top of the sound, they are also spitting fire on overruns, another thing you’d find aplenty in the Greek mythological underworld.
The best bit about this system is that it’s controlled easily via a smartphone app and you can adjust it any way you want to. The standard Cooper S we had the chance to test already had a nice burble to it but this exhaust definitely takes it to another level.
And when you own and drive one of these little bundles of joy, you definitely want a good exhaust note to go with the sensations you get while on the road. Say what you want about modern MINIs but they sure are a blast to drive.
