If you're familiar with the world of street car-based rag racing builds, you know the Acura Integra is quite popular among those who love the genre. Sure, the front-wheel-drive nature of the machine, as well as its Honda roots, are arguments that naysayers can use against the vehicle. Even so, there will always be builds that prove the Integra is a warrior. And the one that brought us here today is a brilliant example of this.
In fact, you could hardly find an example that shines brighter than this one, which happens to be nicknamed Gringo Integra. That's because this machine recently set a new 1/2 mile record for the FWD class. To be more precise, this front-paw animal managed to climb all the way to 213.98 mph (that makes for 344.5 km/h).

The four-cylinder unit of the machine is attached to a monstrous turbo - run by English Racing, the build relies on Extreme Turbo Systems. You may be familiar to this names thanks to this Evo X, which is also a world record holder.

For the record, any machine that gets close to 190 mph in the half-mile is worthy of applause. This is usually the land of RWD animals with at least 1,500 ponies on tap.

Of course, all of the above are just numbers. So how does such an experience feel from behind the wheel? Well, you'll find your answer in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, which takes us into the cabin of the monster.

As it often happens with such go-fast(er) attempts, tape is king among the mods that help the car achieve the kind of velocity values that make one dizzy. And this Acura Itnegra is no stranger to this. For instance, if you check out the headlights of the contraption, you'll notice this is what one could call a double pirate.
