It’s hard to find something to hate about the 1969 Dodge Charger, even if this particular car isn’t necessarily in its best shape.
Despite looking like it’s been abandoned for a while, it’s still a lovable Charger that deserves another chance. While at first glance it seems to be just the best flower pot given how much vegetation lives inside it, with the proper fixes, the car could eventually get back on the road. Of course, that's if whoever buys it has the time, money, and resources to make the whole thing happen.
Make no mistake, fixing this Dodge isn’t an easy thing. It’s pretty clear it comes in a very rough condition, and the seller admits this in a post on eBay. Rust has obviously taken its toll here, and the rear itself looks like it’ll need plenty of fixes in this regard. On the other hand, the front frame rails are said to be in good condition, so here’s a starting point for a possible restoration.
What’s more, the owner says the Charger also comes with a hood and a rear window, and as a bonus, it actually rolls and steers, so you should be able to get it on a trailer should you want to buy it.
Originally, this was a 383 Charger, but no further specifics were provided on the engine. Back in 1969, Dodge offered the Charger with two different 383-ci (6.3-liter) units, namely 2-barrel and 4-barrel, with 290 horsepower and 330 horsepower, respectively.
So how much is this Charger really worth? Quite a lot, the owner seems to think, as the car is listed for auction on eBay and the bidding starts at $5,000. That might be too much for a ’69 Charger in this condition, but this is something only the Internet will eventually decide in some 7 days when the auction is supposed to come to an end.
