When it was first launched, there were a few eyebrows raised at AMG's audacity to name the hardcore version of the A-Class as the A 45, since it only has a “puny” two-liter four-cylinder under that sculpted hood.
Naturally, when the official spec numbers were released, those eyebrows soon formed a very sharp “V”.
How else but flabbergasted would anyone's facial hair look when hearing that the M133 is capable of unleashing no less than 360 hp (355 bhp) and 450 Nm (332 lb ft) of torque?
Translated into an acceleration from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) of just 4.6 seconds, it's safe to say that the A 45 AMG is by far the hottest hot hatch on the planet right now.
The following video is not at all about numbers though, as the smallest AMG model not only walks the walk but also talks the talk, especially when equipped with the Sports exhaust and racing-style body kit, which both make it look and sound like it has descended from a special WRC group to the roads that everyone's using.
Just listen to that gorgeous backfire, doesn't it sound like a WRC anti-lag system if you close your eyes?
