The 1971 Cuda, which is part of the third generation, was built as a Pro Touring model specifically supposed to win car shows, as the selling garage explains in their listing on eBay.

So many of the customizations that you’ll find on this model are supposed to push the limits of this super-desirable muscle car even further, and this is exactly the case of the 440ci (7.0-liter) engine that has been stroked and now develops approximately 600 horsepower. In the default configuration, the 440 1971 Cuda developed 385 horsepower, so this is quite a power upgrade.

Furthermore, model years 1970 and 1971 of the Cuda came with a series of upgrades for the suspension and additional reinforcements specifically supposed to help deal with the upgraded power of the 440ci engine, and most of them have been incorporated into this build.

The powerplant on this custom Cuda had just 46,400 miles (74,670 km) on the clock before restoration, and since the project has been completed, only 500 miles (805 km) were added, mostly for driving the car to shows.

The Cuda uses 4-wheel all-around disc brakes and comes equipped with a new steering box, shocks, and suspension system.

And since it’s such a marvelous custom build, the list of upgrades continues with all-new weather stripping, an entirely-new OEM interior that includes panels, carpets, headlines, seats, and dash, as well as fully remade electrical systems.

Overall, it’s a beautifully-made restoration that uses lots of new and original parts, all mixed with an engine upgrade. And all of these make the 1971 Cuda feel just like a brand-new car, which means that it really can’t come cheap. And it doesn’t. If you want to take it home, be ready to pay $139,999 for it.
