If you’re looking for a super-rare Dodge Challenger that also doesn’t cost a fortune, this could be exactly the model that you want.
A 1970 Dodge Challenger RT/SE, which allegedly is one of the just 2,500 units that were manufactured in 1970, is now available for purchase, as the owner sells it on Craigslist.

The car is mostly original and comes with the same 383 V8 engine that develops 330 horsepower, as well as with a series of extras, such as an RT gauge cluster with tachometer and clock, air conditioning, power steering, a remotely-operated chromed sport mirror on the driver side and the factory-installed radio with three speakers.

The Challenger has recently been upgraded with new 14-inch Dodge Rallye wheels with BF Goodrich tires and has also received new brakes, so it runs and drive just normally, the owner claims.

There were approximately 2,500 of these made and only available in 1970, the first year for the dodge challenger. Odometer shows 30,255 miles and it is unknown for sure the mileage but this has likely rolled over just one time given the condition of the car,” the seller says on the ad posted on Craigslist.

Listed as a barn find, this Challenger still comes with parts that need to be fixed. Both the air conditioning and the radio are broken right now, so the new owner would have to repair them. The paint that is currently on the car, and which you can see in the photo gallery here, isn’t the original one, and it’s believed it has been applied at some point during the ‘80s.

This is an original - unrestored - car, except the paint - painted sometime in the 80's maybe - , numbers matching with all the original major components such as engine, transmission and rear axle. Even the license plates may be original, we have a repair order from 1976 that shows the same plate number that is currently licensed on the car,” the seller states.

The super-rare Challenger can be yours for $28,000, and it’s located in Chehalis, Washington.
