The first Corvette models make for awesome project cars that end up costing a small fortune, and if you’re looking for such a vehicle, here’s one which the owner claims is a fully-optioned configuration without any hit.
This 1969 Chevrolet Corvette is a barn find that was saved in 2018 after sitting for over 12 years, according to the information posted in this eBay listing.

The current owner, who purchased the Corvette to restore it and now they’re selling it too, says the car has never been involved in any accidents and still comes with the original paint. It features pretty much everything you could find on a ’69 Corvette, including air conditioning, power windows, and power steering.

As for the engine, it looks like it’s been rebuilt by a professional shop, and despite seemingly in a bad condition, it still runs properly. The owner says this is a 350 horsepower unit, which means the Corvette comes with the L79 327ci (5.4-liter) small-clock engine that was available on the ’69 series.

Several other parts have already been purchased as part of the restoration project, but they’re yet to be installed, including a new exhaust, brakes, and a new air conditioning compressor, and all go with the car to whoever purchases the Corvette.

Needless to say, this project car is a work in progress, so the buyer would just have to continue the restoration that the current owner has already started and which has been interrupted because the focus moved to bringing back to life a '65 Mustang Fastback.

The Corvette is being auctioned off on eBay, and the good news is that it’s really not as expensive as you’d expect it to be when hearing it’s an original model. The highest bid at the time of writing is $6,600, but the owner has set a Buy It Now price of $12,500, so this is the price that allows you to take the car home today.
