The Impala is one of the popular Chevrolet models that launched in the ‘60s and the ‘70s, so lots of people are currently looking to buy one, regardless the condition, especially in the States.
And this guy right here on the Facebook Marketplace is selling a model that is actually looking as a great project car, as it has already received a bunch of improvements here and there.

The ’68 Impala is described as a 'special barn find a few years ago,' and the current owner says he has been working on bringing it back to life in the last few years.

This car has so much original in great condition,” the owner says.

As for the rust that you can see in the photos, it’s not as bad as you think it is.

Don't let looks fool you. A lot of the brown color is tobacco stain and not rust. This sat in a tobacco barn for 20 years,” he says.

Powered by a rebuilt 327ci (5.4-liter) V8 engine and paired with the original 3-speed transmission, the Chevy comes with a new Dakota digital instrument cluster, but the original is still available should you want to use it.

Needless to say, the car still needs some improvements despite all the restoration work that has been made lately, including new headliner seat skin, as the owner says. However, it’s worth knowing that ’68 GM bucket seats and a center shifter console have already been installed. The seller claims he still has the original bench that was installed on the Impala, so you’ll get one that too, along with many other extra and original parts.

[This is a] North Carolina car, with documented history from the original owner's family. Numbers [are] matching,” he continues.

The car is sold for $9,900 and is located in Latham, NY should you want to check it out yourselves.
