One of Top Gear’s rules is that you aren’t a proper petrolhead until you’ve owned an Alfa. However, this 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia ad is not really about that, but rather tells the story of childhood wishes and what the car enthusiast in you used to enjoy back in the day when soap box wheels would be the only vehicle you’d drive.
One of the latest ads done by the Portugal-based classic automobiles dealer Cool&Vintage is trying to trigger the buyer’s childhood memories. The commercial has a modern successful man stepping into his new sportscar when he suddenly gets struck by a trip down memory lane. Then the clip turns into an ode to a classic Alfa Romeo, having a kid discovering the car's each secret while being mesmerized by its best features.

The video shows a beautiful blue 1964 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GT which is currently being sold by the Portuguese dealer, but the ad itself is simply too good not to share it with you guys.

It was restored in the 1990s

After having a couple of separate owners, the car was comprehensively restored by specialists in the 1990s. According to the oldtimer dealership, it is mostly in very good condition, as it still retains its original color scheme, with leather sky interior upholstery.

The model itself was launched in 1963, featuring classically stylish four-seater coachwork designed by Bertone’s Giorgetto Giugiaro. The new coupe received the 105-series Giulia TI saloon’s five-speed manual gearbox, independent front suspension, coil-sprung live rear axle and all round disc brakes. It takes almost 12 seconds for this baby to reach the 60 mph (96 km/h) mark and it’s capable of a maximum speed 112 mph (180km/h), but who needs performance when you can cruise in style?

The car in question comes with a 50,000 km (31,069 miles) mileage and is listed at EUR 42,500 ($52,743) which is quite acceptable if you ask us.
