Kaiser is the German title meaning "Emperor", but it's also the name of a company that made some classic American cars from their factory in Michigan between 194 and 1953.
Being old cars built in the early 50s, Kaisers are rarely seen on the road, and consequently quite popular with customizers that are tired of the same old Chevys and Fords.
This amazing custom coupe actually started life as a rusty shell rescued from the scrapyard. Industrial designer Keith Charvonia payed only $150 for the shell and imaginatively chopped it.
The rear doors were welded in to make it into a coupe, with the roof lowered by 6 inches. The Kaiser rides on custom air-ride suspension and features a drivetrain from a 95 Chevy donor vehicle.
