This 1:6 Scale Model Batmobile Will Make Your Kid Ditch Superman, Side with the Dark Knight

It's time we faced facts: Superman is a tights-wearing alien who has super-strength and can fly. He was born that way, he didn’t do anything to deserve it and nothing can take these things away from him. Well, nothing except kryptonite, but we hear that’s in short supply in these parts of the universe.
Batman, on the other hand, is just a regular human. He too had a privileged start in life, being born into an incredibly rich family, but then again, his family did die shortly after, so we can’t speak about a very happy childhood.

Still, the man had the money to buy a tropical island and live the rest of his days there in peace, but instead chose to train really hard and become a superhero. He did have his fair share of privileges (access to the tech developed by Wayne Enterprises and the technicians working there, particularly a man called Lucius Fox), but unlike Superman, he wasn’t born a superhero.

So this idea of pitting the two against each other is a little risky, since the vast majority is going to side with the “local hero.” The fact that he also gets to play with all those cool gadgets is just an added incentive.

The thing is, thanks to Hong Kong-based toy company Hot Toys, we too can play with the new (and better than ever, might we add) Batmobile, even though it’s just a 1:6 scale replica. But in spite of the reduced size (you don’t want a toy taking up a whole garage slot anyway, do you?), the toy version of Batman’s new car comes with a lot of details and moving parts, including a detachable hook, lit-up interior, opening doors (pfff, of course), and all sorts of devices meant to ruin the days of bad guys.

If you’re rubbing your hands thinking this is what you’ll put under the tree, maybe next year because Hot Toys hasn’t yet released any information on its availability or pricing. However, watching the clip below is free and we strongly encourage you to do it. Sorry, Superman, but a black cape always trumps a red one. Except for clowns.
