Tired of looking at the same supercars all day? Here's something you've probably never seen before, a tractor designed specifically to plant onions on an industrial scale. Boy, there's a machine for everything these days!
When we say it's "specifically designed" for onions, that's not entirely true. This is a a Deutz Fahr Agrotron 7250 TTV. Normally, it has tires on, but they've created special tracks for it in order to spread out its gargantuan weight over a much greater surface. While the tractor is German, the tracks are made all the way in Canada by a company called Soucy Tracks for Quebec. Other equipment that's been added includes a Baselier FF 310 front rotor tiller and Warrens Delta Planter Drill Ten planter.

We did a bit of searching on the manufacturer's website and found out that the 7250 TTV is part of something called the 7 Series. It sounds like a BMW, but it's really not. Power comes from a 6.1-liter 6-cylinder engine with between 175 and 195 hp, depending on the application. Torque is a monstrous 1,009 Nm on full boost.

What's funny is that all this is necessary just to plant onions on a large enough scale that it's profitable.

Weird onion nutrition facts and health benefits

I'll be honest with you guys and say that I hate onions. I don't want all the onions in the world to feel offended, but they stink really badly and I would go to the ends of the world to avoid them.

Yet they are also very healthy, high in vitamin C, a good source of fiver and 45 calories per serving, add abundant flavor to a wide variety of foods and salads. They have no cholesterol and contain tens of times less sugar than tomatoes. They are an also good source of antioxidant flavonoid quercetin and some tests say they can help you lose weight with a compound called allicin.

Mind you, even if they help with those unwanted ponds, no guy/girl will want to kiss you if you've just eaten one… or that could just be me.
