Think Makes First EV Fleet Sale in Switzerland

Norwegian electric vehicle manufacturer announced today it has completed the first fleet sale of EVs in Switzerland and, at the same time "the most exciting retail agreement' made by Think.

Sixty Think City electric vehicles have been purchased through Migros by Alpmobil, a Swiss eco-tourism group. The cars will be used for holiday guests at the Haslital and Goms resorts in the Swiss Alps. Alpmobil will offer its customers a ride in the electric vehicle from 60 CHF per day.

“This is the most exciting retail agreement THINK has ever done. Migros is a very important partner for us; already it is showing its selling prowess in the home market with sizeable new fleet deals immediately starting to come through,”
Richard Canny, Think CEO, said when announcing the deal.

Think City is an all-electric vehicle tailored mostly for urban environments. The Think can achieve a top speed of only 100 km/hour (62 mph) - enough considering it is meant as a city car - and sprints from naught to 100 in 6.5 seconds. During summer and with the heater off, Think can travel in between 170 km (105 miles) and 203 km (126 miles).

"In the EV industry, volume is growing quickly right now, and with partners such as Migros on board, THINK will start to reach the volumes required to take us beyond the tipping point and into mainstream, competitively priced car retailing,” added Canny, extremely pleased with the completion of the deal.
