THINK City Is the Most Versatile EV in the World

The electric vehicle is increasingly appealing to consumers, as people become more aware of the consumption and emissions issues of internal combustion powered cars. Many are finding that EVs can be used for more than just day-to-day commuting. The THINK City has already established itself as the world's best selling electric car and now it was proclaimed the most versatile too.

The THINK City, with its clean design and zero local emissions, is currently used around the world in a variety of activities. It has been employed as a fully equipped ambulance on the Dutch island of Terschelling. As a large portion of the island is a nature reserve with the goal of becoming CO2 neutral, the THINK City ambulance brings its contribution to this goal by supporting the medical services with transport and first aid needs.

The THINK City stars in UK's new EV Cup zero-emissions racing series. Another racing application of the EV was in the E-miglia 2010, a demanding international electric vehicle rally through France, Germany and Italy.

BBC chose the vehicle for its 'Electric Ride' European grand tour, providing the wheels and broadcast unit for the documentary team.

Tourists in the Swiss resorts of Goms and Haslital can hire a THINK City 'Alpmobil' for a carbon-neutral mode of transportation on their vacations. Some 30 hotels, resorts and other touristic hot spots in the Swiss Alps provide THINK City rental services.

At the heart of the THINK ethos is adaptability,” said Michael Lock, THINK’s Chief Marketing Officer. “Our vast array of applications around the world proves that we have taken what might be considered a specialist, niche form of transport and made it into something practical in a variety of environments. The THINK City is a versatile, fun and very useful set of wheels – as proven from Bergen to Brazil.”
