Now this is what you get if you go with the moment and don't plan your big heist some weeks before...
It all went down in Australia, in the Adelaide suburb of Blair Athol to be more precise. Somewhere in Blair Athol, two senior citizens were visiting a trailer dealership, in the hope to purchase a mobile home to enjoy in their good years.
The two citizens, husband and wife, both aged above 60, had just seen something they liked and, after hitching it to their car, asked a sales manager to help them with whatever in the trailer.
Unfortunately for them, lurking in the dark sat a car thief, who too saw something he liked: the citizens' car. It is not known if the thief knew there were people in the trailer, but the fact remains he got into the car and drove away, with the trailer and the three people inside.
"The sales manager managed to jump from the caravan as it was driven away. The suspect then crashed into another car ... and drove away from the scene at speed, over curbs, with the terrified couple still in the caravan," police said in a statement cited by timescolonist.com.
According to the police, the car, trailer and senior citizens were ditched, timescolonist.com reports. The unidentified man managed to run away, but not before he asked the two for their digital camera.
Perhaps he intends to use it to plan for his next big hit: stealing a police car with the cop in it...
