After the rumors about a possible BMW M3 Touring were quickly dismissed by officials in interviews for various publications, the world of BMW enthusiasts was rather disappointed. However, a lot of renderers came out with all sorts of takes on how it could look like and the last one to add his name on the list is Theophilus Chin.

The master automotive manipulator that provided so many great takes on various cars in the past is also the one that delivered the most accurate version of a possible M3 Touring.

That’s because unlike the others, it created a whole side for our viewing pleasure and it follows the design of the sedan to the letter. That includes the M on the front fender side gills, one of the details that others missed out on.

Then there are the door creases, the character lines and the wheels that hide the beautiful gold brake calipers and the carbon ceramic disks behind them.

Round the back, the usual transformation was applied with a new bumper for the Touring version housing four tailpipes as well as the M letter on the tailgate.

All in all, we definitely wouldn’t mind seeing this thing on the streets, offering random C63 AMG T-Modells and RS4 Avants a run for their money. However, if BMW says that there’s no market for it, we believe them, especially since they proved lately that they’re not afraid of launching new models as long as there’s demand for them.

Either way, we can still have a closely matched version thanks to the new 340i model that, with a tune, could probably reach M3 levels of performance. Sure, it wouldn’t have the chassis dynamics but it would still be close, right?
