Your votes are expected to help choose the best-looking Yamaha Yard Built machine, as the competition gathers no less than 19 custom motorcycles from all over Europe.
The contest had these 19 workshops choose their favorite machine from the Yamaha Sport Heritage range, and modify them according to whatever ideas they thought to be the best. Both custom-made and genuine parts and accessories are welcome in this competition, putting no boundaries to the wild character of these one-off beauties.
The builders who entered the Yamaha Yard Built contest have five models to choose from, and this extended the possibilities quite a lot, especially when compared to similar single-model contests. The list includes the classic small-displacement SR400, the XSR700, XV950, and the no-nonsense XJR1300 and VMAX beasts.
Frankly, it's a pity that we only got one custom VMAX for the Yamaha Yard Built, but we can hope for more in the future editions. The model builders favored most is the neo-retro version of the MT-07, the XSR700, with seven iterations. Surprisingly, the second most numerous model is not the XV950 as we anticipated, and which has only three representations, but the XJR1300, with five. SR400 was also chosen by three builders.
We will only post one photo of the bikes for at least two reasons. The first one is, obviously, that it would be no point in having all the pics here, where you can't cast your vote directly. On the other hand, we chose a generic Yard Built photo for the header because we don't want to influence your vote in any way.
We'll only add that two models stole our hearts, and it's going to be tough to decide which one gets the vote.
