It's no secret anymore, you'll find just about anything on eBay these days. The guys from Carscoops did some searching and came up with one of the weirdest BMW projects we've ever seen.

It's an 1982 BMW 320i that underwent so many 'surgeries' that we just don't know what to call it anymore. The roof is gone, the windshield was halved, the fenders were flared and a roll cage showed up to the bunch too.

According to the owner, this was supposed to be his 'street legal race car' set up specifically for the track. The engine is now an M35 3.5-liter 6-cylinder unit that had its injection system removed and replaced with carburetors (what a great idea!).

Furthermore, still according to him, even though the car was setup for track days, he's been using it as a daily driver for a while now and 'it's a blast to drive'. Well, that part we believe. It really must be something to go for a ride in that thing. We're up for it, how about you?
