Remember that VW Beetle pickup rendering we showed you? Of course you do, it was only yesterday. In that article, we wrote that we didn't think anybody would build it, but we were mistaken.
Since 70s bugs are a dime a dozen, we're not surprised some of them have been made into rat rods, hot rods and pickups. But this is a modern version of the Bug, with a normal engine in the front.

We found some pictures on newbeetle.org and the guy who posted them says it belongs to a Danish gentlemen. The same post also reveals the conversion is done by a German company called CarGoFun who apparently can charge €14,000 and build you one of these cute pickups. That is, if you own one New Beetle that you want to sacrifice.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
