Micro-mobility has seen an incredible rise in popularity in recent years. People in crowded urban areas have been looking for ways to minimize time spent in traffic and on public transport, so a variety of first- and last-mile solutions has emerged.

Skoda believes no Skoda owner should ever walk again, so they’re offering the Skoda Scooter. This isn’t an electric product, but more of the traditional, push-it-yourself type, but it comes in colors that will match your Skoda and, most importantly, it is foldable, compact, light and yet durable.

The patented folding mechanism allows you to pack the Scooter into one compact piece, which fits underneath the floor of the luggage compartment in Kamiq and Scala models without a spare wheel. This means that you can transport and use your Scooter without having to compromise on truck space, so you can still pack it with whatever you need.

Folded down, the Scooter measures 49×42×11 centimeters (19x16.5x4.3 inches). It is also very light, at a little under 5 kilograms (11 pounds), but still solid enough to carry a weight of up to 100 kilograms (220 pounds). Made of aluminum and steel, it comes with rubber grips for excellent grip and good handling, and will supposedly promote “awareness of the Skoda brand among a young, active target group with growing environmental concerns.”

The Skoda Scooter is available for purchase on the Czech Skoda website for 2,968 CZK, which is about $118 at today’s exchange rate.

That said, as promising as this little thing may be in terms of helping you not walk ever again, do bear in mind this aspect: it’s touted as a first- and last-mile solution for environmentally-conscious Skoda owners, but the product comes with the disclaimer of not being designed for use on public roads. If your short commute to and from your car doesn’t include sidewalks with bike paths, you will have little use for it.
