For those of you who don’t know this, The Sweeney is a 1970s British TV police series, focusing on a couple of cops that chase violent and dangerous criminals as part of the Flying Squad. The name of the series is derived from Sweeney Todd - cockney for Flying Squad. How kick butt can you get!
A movie version will come out this September, featuring talented actors such as Ray Winstone and Hayley Atwell. Of course, Top Gear fans already know about this, since the chaps were involved in filming a car chase scene.

This very chase will now be recreated for the fans this summer at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, using the same Ford Focus ST and Jaguar XFR. Of course, a 250 hp hot hatch and a 510 hp sports saloon might not sound like the perfect match, but that’s what makes this interesting.

We expect the real Focus ST will be used, not the body kitted car used for the shooting. In case you didn’t know this already, the global roll out of the 2012 Focus ST will begin next month.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
