The Story of a 1976 BMW 2002 Talks about Passion and Twists of Fate

Fortunately, there is still hope out there, for the coming generations. As long as people like Carter Kelly Kramer are still around to change the way his friends look at cars, we can sleep tight, knowing that not all hope is lost.

Whilst he was still in high-school he needed a car, right after passing his driver’s license exam. However, unlike most of his colleagues that went for Subaru, Mitsubishi and other Japan-made cars, he wanted something classy and stylish.

Therefore, he went for an old 1976 BMW 2002 that was in poor shape when it arrived on his driveway. After a year and a lot of money, he managed to get the car going and purring like a kitty once again, impressing his friends with the flames the Bimmer would spit every once in a while.

This experience also helped him go to college, as his essay was based on restoring his car but he had to sell it because, in a mad twist of fate, he didn’t have a storage space for it and couldn’t stand keeping it on the streets of the university campus.

A year later, he realized that he made a mistake (after all, his blood and tears were invested in that car) and bought it back. He’s still driving it today, waiting for the next track day.
