The Sound of Scott Redding's Pramac Ducati Is Majestic

The sound of Scott Redidng's Ducati is music to my ears 1 photo

I must admit that I find the sound of a V-twin or V4 engine to be more appealing than that of an in-line machine, with the exception being, of course, Yamaha R1's crossplane engine, that mixes the two in a good way.
Funny thing, I am not that fond of the old V-twin sound, and neither is the tone of a Harley or Indian the best music to my ears. Modern V-twins, and especially the high-performance ones, are an entirely different story, and the video below is the perfect example that illustrates the idea.

Recently, I published a short video of Alvaro Bautista's all-new Aprilia RS-GP machine, and its sound was amazing, but a close-up to Scott Redding's Oct Pramac Ducati puts me in difficulty choosing the best tone.

Ducati is back with a bang after years of fruitless racing and frustration, but thanks to Gigi Dall'Igna, the former boss of Aprilia' MotoGP project, everything has changed. The new bike Dall'Igna built last year blows the old machines out of the water, and it restores credible hopes of winning once more.

The same appears to be happening in Noale, with Romano Albesiano leading a team that designed an entirely new bike for Aprilia. How well will it perform in the debut year is hard to estimate, but the season start is just around the corner.

On the other hand, Ducati's satellite team is already looking stronger than ever, with Redding ending the final IRTA test of the pre-season in the second position, a tad more than half a second slower than the 2015 world champion Jorge Lorenzo.

Akrapovic's exhausts play a part in the new Ducati story, and listening to Redding's bike telling it is simply glorious. Any spies in the KTM camp who can provide a similar video of the V4-powered RC8 machine?
