Now that the second generation of the lilliputhian smart fortwo is about six months away from making room to its third generation, certain markets have started to introduce special “buh bye!” editions of the model in an effort to get more clients.
That is not exactly the case with the following smart fortwo special edition for Japan though, because you should know from the start that it will be limited to 100 units for the Coupe body style and only 50 units for the Cabrio.

Its official name is actually longer than the car if written with the appropriate font, so try to take a deep breath before reading it out loud: smart fortwo Brabus Xclusive Edition Midnight Blue – at which you should also add Coupe or Cabrio, depending on what variant you're talking about.

Based on the Brabus Xclusive version, the special Japanese edition comes with a beige Sahara leather upholstery that's double-stitched and which engulfs the seats, part of the door trim and the lower side of the dashboard. Some of the interior trim comes in the same Midnight Blue color as the exterior of the car, while the Brabus shift knob and steering wheel shift paddles are from aluminium.

As far as exterior goes, the final edition of the smart fortwo Brabus comes with dedicated front and rear bumpers, a wider track, 16-inch wheels at the front and 17-inch wheels at the rear, a center dual chrome exhaust exit and the special Midnight Blue color.

As other smart fortwo Brabus Xclusive models, the Midnight Blue limited edition for Japan is powered by a turbocharged three-cylinder engine that develops 102 hp and 146 Nm (108 lb ft) of torque. Pricing for the Coupe is 2,999,000 Yen, while for the Cabrio you need to shell out 3,250,000 Yen.
