Wrestler turned actor Dwayne Johnson recently posted an image of his mother’s Cadillac SRX right after an allegedly drunk driver hit the car. His mother, who was driving, and his cousin were both injured but happily they’ve recovered.
It would seem The Rock’s mom 65-year old Ata Maivia-Johnson and cousin Lina Fanene were driving from a fundraiser their family runs every year - the Usos Foundation Banquet - when they were crashed into by the alleged drunk driver. Both were rushed to a local hospital, but fortunately none of them was severely injured. The Hollywood celebrity posted a picture of the crash and we’re pretty sure his mom was driving the same Cadillac SRX he bought her back in 2012. Both the cars were obviously damaged.
Later on, Fanene posted a photo of the actor visiting her in the hospital, while the Rock tweeted: “My mom & cousin @linafanene were struck head on by a drunk driver this week - they lived. First reaction is to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them. But then you realize the most important thing is my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days. Hug your own family tighter today and be grateful you can tell them you love them.”
Well, it would seem driving a mid-size crossover SUV actually helps in dangerous moments like the one The Rock’s mother was involved in. After all, the SRX has been Cadillac’s best selling model in the United States since 2010.
