The “Reindeer Eight” Shows Bentley Mulliner Preparing for a Special "Ho-Ho-Ho"

Only a few days still remain until Christmas brings much-needed joy into our lives so we might be forgiven if everything seems to be painted in brighter colors. Case in point, this unique Bentley Mulliner Flying Spur V8, which has been appropriately dubbed “Reindeer Eight.” The crimson shade looks to us livelier than it really is, while the 22-inch gold-painted wheels don’t seem tacky at all...

Now, far from us to question the looks of a commission designed specifically for the one person responsible for some of the happiest moments of our lives. This means we’re going to completely overlook the exaggerated use of the gold color for badges, trim decorations, or even the Flying B mascot - sorry, the gold, 3D-printed, reindeer.

Instead, we’re just going to look at this special Flying Spur V8 limousine and explain the credentials that triggered the association. According to the British company, the mysterious customer will see this 550 PS (542 hp) luxury saloon as a significant upgrade to his classic “8 brp (brake reindeer power)” sleigh.

All the details have been apparently hand-crafted in Crewe, including the tailored “exterior badging and personalized 3D gold printed mascot” which allegedly “complement” the 22-inch gold wheels and gold trimming. They’re a sore for our eyes, but we promised not to complain...

Set to remain a one-off, the Reindeer Eight Flying Spur has been wrapped in something they call “Cricket Bauble,” a bespoke shade that was derived from the Cricket Ball paint - one of 62 options in the company’s Extended Range.

The Mulliner Driving Specification is also joined by a set of carbon fiber enhancements including a diffuser for the front and rear bumpers, side sills, and a trunk lid spoiler.

Moving inside, the “Naughty and Nice” list is said to have been stored very safely inside the Bentley Rotating Display, while the Cricket Bauble atmosphere is contrasted by gold touches.

Additionally, the Grand Black dashboard displays “a North Pole winter night scene” on the passenger side, and the seats should be comfortable enough for any extensive journey thanks to the included heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
