The Powerful White Tourer: BMW M6 on BBS Wheels

While some people hurried to call the M6 a ‘lazy, overweight’ car that’s not worthy of the M badge, others tried to understand what BMW was looking for when creating it. That’s right, the M6 is heavy and wide in the hips but that’s because the Germans wanted a Gran Tourer, a car that offers you a lot of power and comfort for those long trips you want to go for.

Admittedly, the Coupe body is not the first thing that pops into your head when thinking about a car that’s comfortable and powerful for long stretches of road but the M6 achieves that with no problem whatsoever.

We even had it for our own testing purposes and we can definitely tell you that while it might feel a little awkward on the track, this Bimmer is really into its own element outside the city. Remember that long highway on the coast of the Pacific you always wanted to drive on? This is the car to do it in.

Modify it a little also and you might just have a stunner under and all around you when doing your chores. That’s what our brave owner here did with his car, not being afraid to change a thing or two, where he though improvements could be made.

And the first chapter that popped into his focus was the sound. It’s a known fact that the new M5 and M6 don’t have the same soundtrack that they used to. Be it because of forced induction or anything else but something was definitely lost.

In this regard, our good man here installed an Akrapovic exhaust with Supersprint downpipes and things changed dramatically. Furthermore, he also added an aFe cold air intake to the mix to give the engine a little more ‘room to breathe’.

As far as visual changes go, the front end received a new RKP lip on the bumper while the rear end is now sporting a Vorsteiner diffuser. Everything was completed by those BBS RI-D wheels measuring 19x9 inches up front and 19x10.5 inches in the back that we mentioned earlier. Oh, and there’s a new Big Brake Kit from Brembo in the mix as well.
