The Porsche 918 Spyder Might be Even Faster on Nurburgring

The sub-seven minute time of the Porsche 918 Spyder on the Nordschleife took pretty much all the automotive media on the planet by storm last week. Apparently, Porsche thinks that the car can do even better. Well, to be accurate, it's not Porsche themselves who say that but the driver who actually set the 6:57 minutes time at the wheel of the hybrid supercar. In an interview with Drive Australia, Porsche Driver Marc Lieb said that there's a lot of potential in the 918 Spyder to go even faster around the Green Hell, with the best evidence supporting his claim being the fact that all the Porsche drivers went under the seven minute mark. If the car will truly go even faster it might actually send both McLaren, with their awesome-looking P1, and Ferrari with their idiotic-named LaFerrari, back to the drawing board. McLaren themselves have tested the P1 on the Nurburgring but no official times have been released, sparking speculation that the car hasn't beaten the 7 minute mark yet. This is the official video of the record-breaking hot lap:
