Leaning on the high success of the Twingo in previous years as the best selling car of its category in France, and the third best seller in Europe, Renault has just launched the new Renault Twingo.

The new Twingo also comes with a new range of diesel engines that are economical and have low CO2 emissions. They include the dCi 85, the Twingo dCi 85 eco2 and the dCi 65, which delivers additional power (+20hp/15kW) and torque (200Nm, up 4Nm) and a fuel efficiency of 4.0 liters/100km.

The engines are also equipped with a low inertia turbo, which gives you immediate response even while driving at low speeds in all traffic situations. The 1.461cc engine is fitted with second-generation 1,600 bar common-rail injection which offers more precise fuel management.

Renault's dCi 85 engine will join the already existing range of engines offered with the Twingo. Four petrol engines: the 1.2 60 HP, the 1.2 16V 75 HP, the TCe 100 (Twingo GT only) and the 1.6 16V 133 HP (Twingo Renault Sport only). And the diesel engine that was already available, the dCi 65.

The dCi engine will be available both for the Dynamique and GT versions of the Twingo, and sales will start in France on January, with prices starting from €14,850. Launched in June 2007, the Twingo is available in 18 west European countries and its sales continues to grow in Europe.
