As the weekend is slowly replacing this long week, we suddenly feel nostalgic. We’re getting the oldies-but-goldies mood, and we’re not talking about music though. It’s time for some proper revered 1960s Ferrari cars, and since we can’t quite afford a real one yet (which reads never), we thought that getting a timepiece instead should do the job for now.
Hey, you can’t blame us, I’m quite sure there’s also a timepiece collector somewhere deep inside you, currently hiding. And we’re not even talking about the high-end, luxury fellows. It’s the average, yet gorgeous type of gift you sometimes feel like buying.

Powered by precise quartz engines, the heritage-inspired Formula Italia watch collection comprises of three chronographs and two 3-hand models. Presented in a special box, each of these elegant timepiece is being issued in an edition limited to 999 pieces. Particular Italian “mastery and finesse” are what stand at the bottom of these puppies.

Inspired by the interior materials and colors of the classic Ferrari racing cars, the new collections sports a clean, vintage feel. The slightly domed, easy-to-read dials with date display are detailed by a printed Prancing Horse shield logo. The minute track and Arabic numerals replicate the same font found on the dashboard gauges of the 1961 Ferrari 156 F1.

Will you feel the same excitement that Lorenzo Bandini did in the 1964 Austrian Grand Prix? Probably not, but at least there’s going to be some excitement whenever you’ll check the time on your wristwatch. Also, considering that you’ll most likely never going to drive the classic racing car, paying $425 for a timepiece seems a lot more probable.
