Toyota recently teased some upcoming commercials for the Super Bowl, starring the 2014 Toyota Highlander and the Muppets, promising to keep the viewers planted in front of their TVs even during the breaks.
The new commercials will also vouch for the upcoming Muppets Most Wanted movie, so prepare for some funny moments with the beloved characters going through a series of “experiments” with the new Highlander.

Now, I don’t know if this was made on purpose or it’s a simple coincidence, but it’s a thing that it will be hard to unsee from now on. The 2014 Toyota Highlander’s interior designers decided to put a stretched version of Pepe the King Prawn right in the middle of the dashboard...

The knobs from the climate control and that porch bellow stretching to the far right side of the dashboard really makes up for a face which cannot be unseen now. It’s either Pepe or one of those Cini Minis characters with the wide mouth.

First was the ultra-happy second generation Mazda3, then came the Mickey Mouse dashboard from the Mini Cooper Paceman’s dash, the new S-Class’ clown-face steering wheel and now this?

I don’t know what’s exactly going on here, but it seems like all the cars are now designed by a wacko Japanese guy who tends to put hidden faces everywhere, like they do in some of their commercials and cartoons.
