The Moment When an 1,340 HP Koenigsegg One:1 Meets a Porsche 911 GT3 RS on the Track

If you happen to be out there on the track in a 2016 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, we couldn’t exactly blame you for feeling invincible, at least in terms of street car competition.

Nonetheless, if you see something like a Koenigsegg One:1 in your rear view mirror, you know you’ll probably be out of mana soon, especially if the circuit in question happens to be Spa Francorchamps, where the speeds can get to an amazing level.

This is exactly what happens in the clip below, with the 1,341 HP (1,360 PS) Swedish machine meeting Zuffenhausen’s track weapon on the Belgian track. The footage is about the Megacar (it has one Mw of power) hitting Spa under the command of F1 driver Adrian Sutil. The racing driver has recently acquired a Koenigsegg CCX, so you can easily understand his urge to get up close and personal with the Swedes' halo car.

The insane one-hp-per-1-kg machine, which has determined Germany to change its vehicle registration system over having too much power, devours everything else on the track. If you want to skip straight to the moment when it meets the GT3 RS, you’ll find that at the 7:30 mark.

Car spotter Shmee150 was enjoying a shotgun ride at the time and describes the experience - “As we complete a number of laps, the rate with which normal supercars like the Ferrari 458 Speciale and Porsche 911 GT3 RS are dispatched is mind-boggling. The experience for me with a driver of such calibre at the wheel also revealed a new smoothness to moving at speed that is not usually felt.
