That Moment When a Porsche 918 Spyder Does Donuts with Tons of Smoke

As those of you who have answered with a big, fat "yes" know, Zuffenhausen machines generally don't cater to such shenanigan-like transportation needs.

With hooning having become a booming trend over the last few years, Porsche-related matters have started to change. For instance, the carmaker itself has started to integrate drifting into its customer driving courses.

But Porsche teaching its clientele to slide the 911 is one thing and having one of those customers doing donuts in their 918 Spyder is another thing.

You can see the 918 Spyder baking a hefty series of donuts in the footage below - the only all-wheel-drive member of the Holy Hybrid Hypercar Trinity (HHHT) and the most serious hybrid of all three, the 918 Spyder is one of the last hypercars you expect to see performing such stunts.

Those of you following our stories might be familiar with this example of the 918 Spyder. Wearing Monaco plates (fitting, right?), this is the Porsche we saw racing a Lamborghini Aventador, as well as a Lamborghini Diablo VT last year.

So we're dealing with an owner who's not your average 918 guy - here's something we don't get to say very often. For instance, we've seen more than one LaFerrari owners dipping into the drifting potential of their machines, but as we mentioned above, the character of the Porsche usually leads to a different kind of behavior.

With the German automaker only bringing 918 units of their current halo car to the world, some of these cars are more special than others.

Now, we tend to label "special" as a vague term, but in this case, we actually appreciate this 918 Spyder more than the examples that are trapped inside garages.
