The Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG Gets Its Pricing Sorted out for the UK

Set to arrive in UK showrooms starting with November, the new Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG W222 will have a starting price of 119,565 pounds.
Until the S65 AMG mac daddy arrives, the current flagship model of the AMG variety in the S-Class range is the 63 AMG model. Sporting a twin-turbo V8 mill with direct injection that offers 585 hp and 900 Nm (664 lb ft) of torque, the super sports sedan is currently the most powerful and fastest car in the luxury saloon world.

It can accelerate from naught to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.4 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). Sadly, the UK won't be getting the 4Matic optional all-wheel drive system, which would have cut the 0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time to 4 seconds flat.

Standard features on the British-bound version of the car are 19-inch AMG 10-spoke light alloy wheels, composite brakes and an AMG sports suspension based on the all-new Magic Body Control.

On the interior amenities and safety gadgets side, the standard equipment includes the Driving Assistance Package, Front Seat Comfort Package, a panoramic sunroof, Keyless Go Package, the top-of-the-range Burmester Surround Sound System, Tire Pressure Monitoring System and Ambient Lighting. All these represent more than 8,400 pounds of added value for the customers above the standard equipment offered on the previous generation of the model.
