Skoda has just released new updates for the Skoda Connect app on both Android and iPhone, and this time there are lots of goodies for drivers.
First and foremost, Skoda says it has added improvements for the “Online Auxiliary Heater” option for electric vehicles, so customers who previously purchased an EV must update the app to benefit from the new functionality.

Furthermore, the changelog mentions a so-called “big package” for the Logbook feature, but no extra specifics are provided.

Skoda has been hard at work on improving the mobile app lately, so the previous versions also brought options to see technical details about the car, tools to find nearby places when planning routes, as well as improvements for SmartLink+ models.

For example, the Czech carmaker says the previous update released in early June brought “a big support package for cars with SmartLink+ connectivity, including the ability to record and manage driving data in the new section ‘Logbook’ or view details of the current journey in the vehicle's infotainment.”

There are also parking improvements, including information like free parking spaces right within the app, as well as an option to submit the parking position to the car’s infotainment system. You can also add parking places to favorites.

With the most recent update, the Skoda Connect app reaches version 3.4.2 (the previous version released in early June was 3.4.1 and was launched only a few days after version 3.4.0). On Android, on the other hand, the latest app version is 1.1.0.7.

As far as Android devices are concerned, any user whose phone or tablet runs OS version 4.2 and newer can install the app, while Apple devices must be powered by iOS 12 and later. Needless to say, the app is available at absolutely no cost for all Skoda drivers, but only models that support Skoda Connect or SmartLink+ can install it and pair the app with their vehicles.
