The Japanese Get a Special Edition Mitsubishi Lancer Evo

In the Land of the Rising Sun they have a real love for cars, proof of that being the fact that they make some of the meanest road machines in the world today. Just take the Nissan GTR or the latest version of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution.

Though you might consider it a radical ride as far as performance and looks, the Japanese still weren't satisfied with it and gave it a whole new trim level, the GSR Premium. This would sit above the RS and the GSR models, already top of the line, making it the pinnacle of Japanese engineering.

Performance-wise, the car is no different than the other Evo X models, but it does have better features. These include 18-inch alloy BBS rims, front fog lights and a wicked set of Bilstein shocks. Visually, the hood and the fender scoops are the same color as the body.

The outside of the car is fitted with Recaro leather bucket seats, a satellite navigation system and a Rockford Fosgate audio system that includes 19 speakers. Specially made for the Japanese market, the trim level also includes a few minor modifications to the instrument panel and the floor console.

One of the main interior modifications is the side and curtain airbag system, an upgrade in safety, making the EVO a contender to other premium sedans out there.

Prices for this version EVO are the equivalent of $48,250 for the 5-speed manual gearbox model and $50,785 for the Twin Clutch-SST model. The pictures below should give you an idea of what the model will look like and what the luxury level on it will be like. Though for some the idea of paying 50,000 dollars for a Mitsubishi is kinda outrageous, ultimately it's a matter of taste.
