The Goliath 6x6 Is Real And It’ll Cost You $375,000 Before Options

Announced back in September 2018, the Goliath 6x6 has morphed from CGI into the real deal. The Silverado-based truck utilizes the Trail Boss Z71 as the donor vehicle, complete with the 6.2-liter V8 engine complemented by a 2.9-liter supercharging system.

Only 24 units are offered for the 2019 model year, and pricing starts at $375,000 before options. In addition to the additional axle at the rear, longer bed, and different wheel arches, the gentle giant features an eight-inch lift kit and BF Goodrich 37-inch tires.

A Goliath 6x6-exclusive rollbar joins the off-road front and rear bumpers, auxiliary LED lighting, and Hennessey 20-inch wheels. Four exhaust pipes and bigger brakes are also included, along with three years or 36,000 miles of coverage from the Texas-based tuner.

“We are very excited to offer our new Goliath 6x6 alongside our VelociRaptor 6X6 truck,” said head honcho John Hennessey. “These are very exclusive and unique vehicles that make a huge statement anywhere our clients go – whether its Rodeo Drive or the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert.”

Because it weighs considerably more than the Silverado 1500, the black-painted leviathan in the following clip features a cold air intake that improves the small-block V8 to 450 horsepower. The blower takes the L86 (a.k.a. LT1 in the Camaro and Corvette) to 705 horsepower and 675 pound-feet, a package which is known as the HPE700 Supercharged upgrade.

Customers with deeper pockets are treated to 808 horsepower if the stroker motor is specified from the options list. With that kind of suck-squeeze-bang-blow at the tap of the loud pedal, the Goliath 6x6 promises to be an exciting toy for big boys in a straight line as well as off the beaten track.

The supercharger runs at 7 psi of boost in this application, and the stainless-steel exhaust system ensures the Goliath 6x6 makes a sonorous statement anywhere it’s driven. Hennessey hasn’t mentioned if the 10-speed automatic transmission has been beefed up in the process, which is a bit curious considering that the Hydra-Matic 10L80 can take up to 800 Nm (590 pound-feet) of torque in bone-stock configuration.
