With the 2013 edition of the Essen Motor Show ending just two days ago, the Mercedes-Benz tuning specialists from Carlsson have released a new modifications program for the facelift version of the GLK crossover/SUV.
First making us wonder why on Earth would they wait until a rather important tuning show has ended to present their GLK customization program, the peeps from Carlsson made us squint our eyes once again with the adjacent press release, which is a bit contradicting.
They first mention that the following GLK tuning program will be available from January 2014, after which they say that the world premiere will take place at the 2014 edition of the Essen Motor Show – one year from now.
Either way, for the ones interested, the GLK exterior by tuning includes chromed radiator grille, a front RS lipped front spoiler, three-piece stainless steel grille inserts and chrome-plated inserts fro the LED daytime running lights.
The rear hasn't been forgotten, as we can check out a not-exactly obscure chrome-plated diffuser which is flanked by a new quad-exhaust system from stainless steel.
Performance-wise, only the GLK 220 CDI is touched, with Carlsson tuning it via their C-Tronic plug and play module which increases the power from 170 to 204 hp, while the torque is increased from 400 Nm (295 lb ft) to 500 Nm (369 lb ft).
