The Ford F-650 Batman Limousine Is How You Fight Crime in Las Vegas

Back in the day, limousines were a symbol of social status. That hardly holds true today since most self-respecting businessmen and public figures would rather eat dirt than be caught in one of these vehicles. Instead, limousines have become the go-to vehicles for more fun, usually alcohol-fueled occasions, like bachelor/bachelorette parties, proms and weddings, and sightseeing tours.

They’re almost always tacky to the extreme, but that’s not damping their popularity. If anything, the whole tacky aspect of it becomes part of the experience because, let’s face it, when you’re drunk, style doesn’t mean anything.

On that note, here’s one custom build that fits the bill – and is perfect for autoevolution’s Ford Month: the Ford F-650 Batman Limousine. It’s part of the limo fleet of the Vegas VIP Limo service, so if you happen by Sin City these days, you can still totally give it a try. It’s described as the perfect vehicle to infuse a dose of style into your peasant life, with a touch of the superhero appeal. In reality, it’s a monstrosity that oozes garishness. Which is what makes it so irresistibly awesome, one assumes.

As its name implies, this Batman limo sits on the chassis of a Ford F-650 medium-duty truck. The limo service (sadly) doesn’t offer any details about the custom build, like where it took place, what it implied, or final costs, but it does say it can hold parties as large as 26. This means you and 25 of your best friends will be able to take in the sights of Vegas in the chauffeured ride while pretending to be the Dark Knight, out on the town to fight crime. And get drunk.

Inside, there are three massive seats and no less than two bars. The seats are covered in dark leather, in keeping with the Batman theme, and there’s a large Batman logo on the wall separating the cabin from the driver compartment. Everything is black, which means the disco lights and the backlights to the Batman logo, which alternate color “for an eye-catching effect,” will stand out even more. The description also mentions “top-tier amenities” like “a pounding stereo system,” to go with those flashing disco lights.

“The Batman limo is far from your average luxury vehicle. It has the elegance of a lavish limousine with the brute size of a semi-truck,” the limo service says. “Many individuals choose limo rental services to enhance their status or style. With the Batman limo, you can live like a total rockstar – even if it’s just for one night. Our large limousine renders elegance with a touch of ruggedness and masculinity.”

These are very fancy words for a massive Ford truck extended and pimped out to the maximum. And, while elegance and lavishness are not terms that instantly pop into mind when looking at it, there’s no denying this Batman limousine is, at the very least, memorable. It’s a shame, though, that the only things to make it worthy of the Batman name are the logo inside and two exterior decals on the windows.

As for power, no word on that either. Ford is offering the F-650 in two options, either with the 7.3L V8 gas engine or the Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel mated to the Ford TorqShift HD 6-speed automatic. This is a beast of a truck, alright. And the Batman limo conversion is a completely bonkers, shameless way to put it to use.

As a final note, Ford F-650-based limousines are not rare and, why yes, many of them are found in Las Vegas. But this is supposedly the only Batman-themed one, even if you can tell execution is phoned in.
