Is a watch! Sadly, the superb DMC-12 from DeLorean hasn’t gotten its modern successor yet, as the misleading title may have lead you to believe. It is, as previously mentioned, not a time machine, but rather a machine that tells time, a very special watch created by Swiss watchmaker Romain Jerome.
As you might expect, the watch features the same brushed steel finish found on the DMC-12, and it follows watches which have been made from pieces of the Titanic, or even real moon rock. The DeLorean watch is apparently made from old original body panels, which were deemed unfit to be restored. It measures 46mm and features a classy-looking leather strap which has been specifically designed to mimic upholstery of the DMC-12.
Just 81 will ever be made, each being individually numbered, of course. However, as with any item which is individually numbered, expect it to be very expensive. The DeLorean watch is no exception, as it costs a huge $15,900 (€12,200). However, for those who are willing to pay that much, it is definitely a unique collectors’ item which they will covet dearly.
