How many times did you see an action movie and a car chase that involved one or more cars driving on the ceiling of a tunnel? One too many times, that’s for sure! Well, it seems like an ambitious 24-year-old wanted to prove that it can also be done in real-life.
The woman therefore took her Toyota sedan out for a spin and ended up on the roof of her beloved car inside a tunnel located on highway A62 in Germany. As you can see, she somehow managed to leave tire marks on the ceiling before plummeting back down.
According to the Police, the driver had excessive speed (that’s an understatement here, obviously) and, after hitting the side of the tunnel she managed to reach its tallest point and then fell on the roof of the car. Luckily she made it out alive but it seems like she’s not in the best condition in the hospital.
One question does remain though: did she actually do it on purpose or was it all just an accident. Of course, logic dictates that it was all an accident but even then, the specifics seem to be rather stunning.
The speed you’d need to reach that point with the wheels still on the concrete is staggering high. As it turns out, not only did she reach the ceiling with them but she had so much momentum that they left some rather long marks on it. What’s your take on the matter, any Sherlocks around?
