There aren’t too many classic Toyota models out there you can feast your eyes on, but there are some that really deserve our attention. And we’re excluding the uber-cool 2000GT coupe that’s out of the reach due to its scarceness.
Among them you can totally count the 70’s Toyota Crown sedan with its American look, but even better is its MS60 Coupe version. Look at one from behind and it will totally remind you of a Barracuda fastback.
There aren’t too many Crown coupes out there so feel proud if you spot one on the streets. You might also find one racing on your local drag strip some day, because a guy named Shawn Cassady decided to turn one into a pro-street drag car.
‘Engine’ we hear you asking? Of course the stock one couldn’t face the strip, so the owner decided to swap it for an ‘oldschool’ 2JZ with a massive turbocharged sticked to its right side. Not sure how many horses spin those fat rear tires, but they are enough to blast the car across the finish line in almost 8 seconds flat, as it did at the 2013 World Cup Finals - Import vs Domestic here in the video bellow.
