Velvet wrapping really became a thing to look out for when that Ferrari hit London. Major non-automotive website picked up the story and it even ended up on 9GAG.
Of course, we know that velvet wrapping is actually quite limited as a technology. The vinyl is quite thick and can't be used on just any surface, since it won't stretch or shrink that much. But the clever folks at CarFilmComponents found the perfect project car, an old Mk4 Golf Variant.
It's about as straight as it gets when it comes to the bodywork, so they had no problem covering it in Velvet. But CFC didn't stop there. They also added cartoons-like graphics and a set of really cool Mercedes AMG wheels, which probably belong to something like the ML 63 AMG.
This is German tuning at its best, and that's why this has to be the coolest Golf 4 of the moment.
