With more than 29 percent of the votes going to the Mercedes-Benz CLA, the contest in the compact class saw the “baby CLS” emerge as the clear overall winner in its segment.

Apart from being the most aerodynamic production vehicle in the world, with the Blue Efficiency version having a Cd of just 0.22, the new CLA has also established an entirely new niche segment, which will most likely be copied by its German arch enemies in the following years.

Even before the model was actually launched on the market, the Mercedes-Benz CLA had already won the famed “red dot award” - juried by design experts - for its gorgeous exterior four-door coupe look.

The “baby CLS” has just been launched on the US market in September, making it the cheapest and one of the most beautiful Mercedes-Benz in the land of the free, after a very successful start of sales in Europe.
