The British automaker has now announced that the Seven Sprint, the special edition made to evoke the original Lotus 7, is sold out. It appears that the car was sold out within a week of its unveiling, so the brand was slightly late to announce this. In the seven days that passed too fast for some Caterham fans, all 60 units of the Caterham 7 Sprint were assigned a buyer.

Since just 60 cars of this type were made because Caterham was celebrating six decades since the launch of the Seven. The car comes with a three-cylinder turbo engine from Suzuki, just like the entry level model, the Seven 160. However, its limited availability and retro look made it special.

The special edition of the Caterham Seven had a price of 27,995 pounds, which means about $37,000. That is a lot for a car with a three-cylinder turbo engine and styled to look like it belongs in the 1960s, but purists will know that this is something they did not want to miss.

If you often say that “they do not make them like they used to,” this model is something to put your money where your mouth is, as they say.

The resale values of these examples might increase over the years if you consider the possibility of some being crashed, as well as their unique appeal. If you are lucky enough to own one, take care of it as well as you can. If you desire one, start saving up, as these Caterham Seven Sprint models might become pricey.

In other words, Caterham did everything it could to make the Seven Sprint as retro as possible. Brand representatives stated that they were surprised by the reactions received regarding this model, and the series of 60 units represents more than 10% of the number of yearly sales, which marks a tremendous success for the company.
